It is with great sadness that we report travellers have forced their way onto Carr Green today. There are now many caravans, cars & quad bikes tearing up our pitches.
We’ve recently invested thousands into the grass to prepare for the coming season, so this is very much a soul destroying situation for everyone.
The process of having them removed from our land has begun. Following conversations with the police, for safeguarding reasons ALL FOOTBALL ACTIVITY AT CARR GREEN IS CANCELLED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
We are not sure what impact this will have on the football we deliver to our children over the forthcoming months, nor the season ahead. As a not-for-profit organisation we have limited resources to repair the damage, but we know everyone in the community will come together to help us recover.
